Toronto born Rene LaVice is a well known luminary in Drum & Bass now, but when this monster dropped on the Dimensions Five EP on RAM in 2011 he was only two years in. The four-track EP this monster found itself on was a showcase for up and coming talent at the time, and RAM made a good call with this one. With a straight-up, repetitive real sound drum loop and some spacey bleeps floating around at the top end, there’s not too much else to say about Headlock, only turn it up loud and bask in that filthy bassline!
