STT Episode 3: Killer Hertz Talk the Tech of Club Bangers [Viper Premiere]

For fans who have been wondering why they’re not seeing the big billing trio known as Killer Hertz on many festival lineups this year, that’s because main producers Phil and Pete (Erb N Dub) have essentially locked themselves in their Brighton studio to bang out a series of club bangers on Viper Records and eventually begin work on an album. The trio’s MC, Multiplex, will likely be on some lineups this summer, but the Brighton boys are laser-focused on production.

In this episode of Sweat the Technique, due to the nature of where they are in their creative journey, Pete and Phil had a lot fo say about their tech and techniques for making both sounds and tracks, including how they make said sounds and tracks, what the music is going to sound like going forward, and their growing love of Serum 2 (producers who have been wondering about this synth’s capabilities, this is great info).

Coming off a couple of years of a highly technical live show and loads of touring, the guys also chatted about the challenges and differences of producing and performing a live show versus being in the studio all day every day, and why they’re happy to be working on the next hot club tracks for the club crowd. They also weighed in on AI, staying healthy as an artist and loads of other topics.
