Vektah Releases ‘Culture Shift’ EP on Soulvent Records

Soulvent Records have released a 4-track EP, ‘Culture Shift’, produced by Vektah. This producer has cemented himself as one of the most multifaceted drum & bass producers to emerge in recent times. The EP has received support from the likes of Pola and Bryson, LTJ Bukem and Bladerunner.

Those that have been following his musical journey from the start know that his scope within production is extremely vast. The producer has experimented and developed his sound for the past 7 years, having released under two different aliases. It seems that he has now found his forte – one that is unique, distinct and a breath of fresh air within the genre.

‘Culture Shift’ is a perfect amalgamation of the Bournemouth based producer’s skill and features tracks ‘Escape’, ‘Solar Flares’, ‘Tension’, and ‘Humdrum’. If you are after something that you can listen to at different points of the night, then look no further.

Starting off the EP is ‘Escape’ – this is the track that will receive a lot of reload requests and predominantly for those that like to stand in front of the soundsystem, marvelling at the bass. ‘Solar Flares’ is the defining track of the EP and will undeniably be a festival favourite in the coming months. It has a nostalgic feel to it, reminiscent of drum & bass from the late 2010s. Next up is ‘Tension’ which takes you on a journey with a futuristic and surrealistic aspect. Finishing off the EP is ‘Humdrum’, a collaboration with SKG which delves into a more deeper and melancholy realm.

The future looks promising for the young producer and if the production on ‘Culture Shift’ is anything to go by, we are in for a revitalising and refreshing time within the drum & bass scene.
