Ever wanted to remix Evol Intent’s Middle of the Night? Well, now you can and you might even get it released and win Audeze LCD-2 headphones, a Xfer Records Serum synth or a t-shirt and stickers. Grab the samples using the widget at the bottom of this post or go to Evol Intent’s website (where you can also get the full terms and conditions). “While all genres are accepted,” say Evol Intent, “we recommend steering away from drum & bass entries unless you can seriously upstage the original and/or Reso Remix. Reviewer and DJ NSD highlights his D&B picks for November… Delta Heavy – Reborn [Ram] This release has three very different mixes of Reborn – Single – Delta Heavy. Two D&B and one slower BPM remix. Concentrating on the two D&B mixes, the original has a lovely melodic and uplifting sound while June Miller crafts it with a insane firing drop! This is one heavy track, pure fire. https://soundcloud.com/ramrecords/sets/delta-heavy-reborn Aeph – Fall For You (ft Tasha Baxter) / Seadrome [Lifted Music] As a fan of both Aeph and the talented Tasha Baxter, hearing this track brought a smile to my…

My friend says that from listening to your music, he believes you must have grown up in a musical family, because your arrangements are so nice. Did he guess correctly? That’s a huge compliment to someone who plays no single instrument and has never learned or studied music in the traditional way. Funnily I hear that question…

We talk favourite albums, tours, coming such a long way in a short space of time and what’s next… The three of you met at a DJ competition in 2009, would you say you are competitive when it comes to DJing and production? Do you try and outdo each other in the studio? To be honest, we’ve never really had the competition vibe between ourselves. When it comes to DJing, it’s usually Adrien and Dieter going back to back, trying to drop tunes…

Von D ft. Alys Be – I Can’t Sleep (2011 Original Mix) “There was a bit of a controversy on Dubstepforum when my bro DJ Chef cut this tune to dubplate and played it on Rinse FM,” remembers Von D of this track from 2011, “cause you guys may know this vocal was already released by some other producer. Well that was the original I decided to never release and keep as a dub. After all this time I think this is a well long overdue release.” https://soundcloud.com/vond/von-d-ft-alys-be-i-cant-sleep-2011-original-mix-free-download Notorious B.I.G – Warning (Enno Bootleg) Look out for Skynet, a dubstep…

Beardyman’s newest release, Distractions, comes three and half years after his debut I Done a Album. Distractions has been created on his Beardytron5000 mkIII, a completely customised and unique system that allows Beardyman to create, record and produce music live in real time. In 2011 Beardyman found himself frustrated with the technology available and started to build his own machine from scratch. The Beardytron has been completely coded by Beardyman alongside two “genius” software coders Sebastian Lexer and Dave Gamble. “I started using a loop pedal and then introduced chaos pads but I just got frustrated with all that so…
