Their After Dark synth is especially fun to play with, especially as a parent. A couple of cool things I loved right off while playing on this with my child was the ease of use and the engaging hand’s on display. It’s fitted with a lever on each side of the synth, one controlling tempo and the other controlling pitch, easy to learn from but also to keep cranking back and forth.
A lot of our time was spent pushing buttons and lucky for us, everything was clearly labeled and even gave us a wonderful soundbank of 300 professionally produced built-in melodies. The Randomize option was very fun and added even more depth and creativity to various melodies we initially started creating.
It also includes a multi-mode resonant filter with the ability to use two envelope generators and two LFOs to add evolving and pulsating sonic textures, 100+ sampled drum sounds, each with adjustable pitch, and stereo multi-tap delay adds a spacey effect.
One final addition in here that stood out was that it actually allows the option to add a keyboard, drum machine or DAW using 5-pin MIDI input as well as 1/4″ Audio Output jack. The versatility of this product is stunning.
