NeurofunkGrid Unveil The Hum EP

When the initial wave of music promotion channels hit the popular video streaming website YouTube a few years ago, there was one in particular that chose to represent the increasingly popular sound of neurofunk.

That channel is NeurofunkGrid – co-run by Axel from France and Sampo from Sweden. With around 50,000 subscribers receiving their videos on a regular basis, the pair have harnessed the popularity of their channel and used it to successfully launch their own record label of the same name.

On August 16, they are accompanying their tenth release with the introduction of a new range of t-shirts and a promo mix. That tenth release is ‘The Hum EP’, by Spanish producer Impak who, as well as having a flair for making speaker-shaking neurofunk, also had a hand in putting together the artwork for his own release.

The B-side of the release, ‘Medula’ was premiered on Soundcloud last week and, thanks to NeurofunkGrid, we have an exclusive preview of the A-side, ‘The Hum’, which you can listen to via our Soundcloud page.

It doesn’t end there though, as they have also given us a NeurofunkGrid t-shirt to give away! To be in with a chance of winning it, send an email – with ‘NeurofunkGrid Comp’ as the subject, followed by your full name and postal address – to jake [at] kmag.uk. We will contact the winner on Wednesday 20 August.
