Bass music radio station RoodFM is launching a DJ competition with some amazing prizes. The competition is set across four rounds and the final on December 13 will be a live battle between the top three DJs in front of a judging panel and audience.
“The purpose of Rood DJ is to discover incredible new talent within the diverse music community and award them the best possible start – in a market where the competition is fierce,” says Rood co-founder Callum MacDonald.
The first round starts on September 15 and you’ll need to compile a 15 minute mix bearing in mind you’ll be judged on technical ability, track selection, timing and DJ flair. The only genre restrictions are that mixes must be within the realms of bass music.
When you’re happy with your mix submit it on the Rood DJ competition page by October 15. This is also where you can get more info on the other three rounds and see all the prizes up for grabs.
To be eligible to enter you must be a UK resident and not already hold a show on RoodFM. There’s no age limit but under-16s must obtain parental /guardian consent.
